1.check there are no programs in startup... to do this, go to run, type msconfig and in the window which opens, go to start up tab and disable every thing but some from ur drivers or imp progs if any. 2.buy some ram yaar.... and dont use things to optimize ram... or boost ramm... and programs that say it will do those things.. 3.use some small and decent registry cleaner.. 4.uninstall whichever software u dont use so much... 5.stop as many bkg programs as possible... 6. dont use those unwanted antivirus services like shields... just use only antivirus... and scan ur system timely... 7. minimize progs when not working in them.. i mean.. u have openned some 6 windows... each of different progs, then minimize all but the current one that u r working on... 8. defrag ur drives like once in a week if u have time or once in a month atleast ![]() 9. just dont forget to press THANKS button if u find it useful ![]() off topic Q: r u from INDIA? cos i am an INDIAN... thought so by looking at ur name... kuldeepLast edited by sushruth; 07-17-2008 at 12:17 PM.. |

yeah ... see defragment for a layman means just aligning all files in an order (of course with their same original paths) like reordering files in a shelf.. for example, if u r trying to see for file with name starting from e , u may not look the whole shelf for it if it is aligned in an alphabetical order right? so it works in the same way...got it

Clean it. Dust and dirt does accumulate inside the computer especially if you have animals. I use Dust Off (Spray Can) to get rid of most of it & then take out the fans and clean them.
