I say metal, for the fact that I don't like the people that come with a lot of rap (you know what I mean.... I know Vadym does -- White and Black alike). Yes, I know that everyone who listens to rap isn't like that, but a LOT are; enough to generalize for a large part. I, myself, listen to a bit of rap, and it's not really my style of music, so I say metal. I enjoy metal (lighter metal types... Death Metal is just fun to make fun of) because I really enjoy guitars and screaming.

Not meaning to offend anyone with my rap comment, if anyone has a problem, please PM me; DON'T start crap IN this board because of a misunderstanding of my words.

i know exactly what you mean bro.
i was born and raised on rap and to hear some of the rap today gets me angry and makes it hard for others to like it.
there is a ton of underground rap and old-school rap that is great but when radio only plays the same type of rap songs it is hard for others to enjoy the good rap out there.

im in a rap/metal band... influenced by Cypress Hill, Insolence, NERD, Dilated Peoples, Sunk Loto, Deftones and Annihilator...

and we kinda like to mix everything and it sounds good...

there are some great artists out there that mix rap and metal:
cypress hill, boo-yah tribe, and nerd are some of my favorite.
