That changes the MAC address, not the IP address.. It's not the same, and perhaps the games this solves the conflict with checks both MAC+IP;
Not every game does that though, mainly they create a DB with Bloked IPs...
And if it's for changing the MAC you could better off use ETHERCHANGE or do it yourself from Device Administration


Oh, and one more thing: If your ISP is using RADIUS or any kind of MAC-IP Docking, this will also get yourself without navigation or DNS usage...
So be careful while changing your NICs MAC addresses...

No, it doesn't read in the WEBSITE.
You cannot change your IP since it doesn't rely on YOU. It realies on your ISP...
You could think you have an IP address like 192.168.1.2 just because your Router is using VPN, but your real IP is the one that's shown in the outside world and does not rely on yourself.

Yeah - I have tried Mac Spoofing - some ISP's allow it - others does nothing

That comes over the basics of old routing software where a MAC address was ancled to a certain IP, but take in count that old ones also got a whitelist to say what macs can ancle themself to them...

Also remember that you might me obtaining your IP address under the bridging (transparently, of course) of your modem, though the IP renewal will be the same since your MODEM/Router MAC haven't changed... Even if you did change so (for what you'll need the admins password, and most routers/modems does not allow changing it but cloning-emulating them) that could certainly have one or no effect on your connection

Yeah - I got software to change the MAC address - sometimes it made no diff to my IP - but sometimes...IT killed my net. So if anyone is going to try spoofing make sure you write your setting down

Yeah - It sux how NZ ISP's a tossers, There are ones that actually block p2p software (well kinda. I am waiting on nully to test a mod ver of utorrent i did for him - as far as ISPs blocking concerned it should register as Firefox We shall see - if it works I'll share it with the crew - in case of use overseas)

I mean, you may change the fingerprint, but, what about the ports it's using?
I mean, there is difference between ports 80,23,22,21,110 to ports 5000++ xD

Same thing I adviced: Take in count that this MIGHT KILL YOUR CONNECTION, Thats why I encourage using ETHERCHANGE BECAUSE YOU CAN EASILY GO BACK TO YOUR FACTORY GIVEN ONE.
